Champagnac is about 8 hours’ drive by car from Calais, and 5½ or 6 from Caen or St.Malo.

For a short stay it is better to fly and hire a car. There are relatively cheap flights to the region from various UK airports. Bergerac airport is about an hour, Bordeaux 1½ hours, and Limoges around 2 hours away. Angouleme TGV station is under an hour’s drive.

If using Sat Nav, beware that this is not the only Champagnac in France!
