SarlatTHE AREA
The Dordogne Region in south-west France is one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in the entire country. You can discover historic towns and villages, Romanesque churches, Renaissance chateaux, and prehistoric caves.
Yet it is often the places you visit away from these main attractions which stay longest in
your memory – the coffee in a small café, the peaceful walk in unspoilt countryside, the
home-cooked dinner in a local restaurant, the picnic next to a stream.

People visit the area again and again, not just for the famous sights,
but to experience some of the best that rural France has to offer.
